MBR, abbreviated as Membrane Bio Reactor, is a new water treatment technology that organically combines membrane separation technology with biotechnology. It uses membrane separation equipment to trap activated sludge and macromolecular organic matter in the biochemical reaction tank, eliminating the need for a secondary sedimentation tank.
The membrane bioreactor process greatly enhances the functionality of the bioreactor through membrane separation technology, increasing the concentration of activated sludge, reducing the amount of excess sludge by maintaining a low sludge load, and reducing the footprint of sewage treatment facilities.
